What to expext
After being picked up from your Waikiki hotel, set off on the Circle Island Drive. Keep your camera to hand as you wind up into the Koʻolau Mountains, stopping to gaze out over the Hawaiian Islands from the Nuʻuanu Pali Lookout and visit Byodo-In Temple.
Continue to the North Shore, where you have the chance to explore seafront towns such as Banzai Pipeline and Sunset Beach, enjoy sweeping views of Waimea Bay, and watch the surfers taking to the waves. Visit the beautiful Waimea Falls, then make a final stop at the Dole Plantation, where you can sample some tasty frozen pineapple DoleWhip® (own expense).
After a full day taking in the island’s highlights, return to Waikiki, where your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.

- We intentionally only operate this tour using an air conditioned mini-bus to ensure that group sizes are kept small enough to enjoy each stop with your group and guide.

- Admission to every stop has been taken care of, just bring cash for snacks and souvenirs.

Will I see a waterfall?
The flow of the waterfall depends on rainfall. So the size or if there a waterfall at all depends on if it rained recently and/or how much it has rained recently. There is no guarantee the waterfall will be visible at Waimea Valley (especially during summer)
Is there a lot of walking on this tour?
This circle island tour as more walking than most circle island tours due to the visit to both the Byodin-Temple and Waimea Valley.
The trail to Waimea Falls is about 3/4 of a mile and takes approximately 30 minutes. It is paved the entire way, with gentle hills. There are several gravel paths off the main corridor, for more adventurous walkers to explore all our botanical garden collections. According to Waimea Valley Website
