What to expect

Make your own way to Kualoa Ranch in Kaneohe 45 minutes before your chosen start time. Then meet your guide and your horse to begin your adventure.

Gently trot through the scenic landscapes of the ranch, which was once the backdrop for several Hollywood films including “Jurassic Park” and “Pearl Harbor,” and learn about Hawaii’s rich history.

Journey through the verdant forests of the Ka’a’awa Valley, past World War II bunkers, and across breathtaking terrain with views of the Kanehoalani Mountains.

The tour concludes back at Kualoa Ranch after two hours of horseback riding.

Best Hawaii Ride! Best horseback ride ever!We rode through Jurassic Park :)The tour was great. The horses were calm and knowledgeable about the trail, and the trail was easy to navigate. This is a great ride for people who have never been on a horse and people who have ridden a lot!We have been on horseback rides on Maui and Kawai, but this is the best ever !

The tour guide is unfriendly to kids I did horseback riding my two kids and friends (one mom+2kids).1. We asked tour guide to arrange us in 2 groups in order, so we could better take care kids and take picture. However, the tour guide refused and did not allow us to change riding order. 2. My daughter, who is 12, had a hard to ride perfect straight. The tour guide gave me a warning said if she could not ride perfectly straight, she would be kicked out. After warning, she was nervous and frightened all the rest of trip. And at a bifurcation, the tour guide told me that she had to end the rest of trip because of she could not make it. （From all my picture taken， she was sitting there straight.）And I also need to end the trip， because she is a minor. I tried to ask for another chance， but the tour guide said we already gave her warning.Thus， we wasted 30 minutes horseriding and ended earlier.My girl was frightened and cried. This totally ruined the trip.

Kualoa Ranch Horseback Tour: A Fun Family Adventure We recently took the two-hour horseback tour at Kualoa Ranch, and it was a great experience for our family.Our guide Maya was friendly and knowledgeable. The horses were calm and well-trained, making the ride comfortable even for beginners. The ranch has 88 horses in total.The kids loved the horses' names: Duracell, Johnson, Hufflepuff, Teddy, and Hagrid (Maya's horse). These quirky names added a fun touch to the tour.As we rode, Maya pointed out several movie filming locations. We saw sites from Jurassic Park, Godzilla, and Jumanji. The giant Godzilla footprints were particularly impressive against the natural landscape.The scenery was the real star of the show. We rode past towering mountains and had clear views of the blue ocean. The contrast between the green valleys and the sea was stunning.The tour was a good mix of movie trivia and natural beauty. It kept both kids and adults engaged throughout the two hours.If you're looking for a family-friendly activity that combines nature and a bit of Hollywood magic, this tour is a solid choice. Remember to bring a camera - you'll want to capture the views.

One of the worst The thing is when I came here I thought it was gonna be really fun with my friends and then I went to the horse pen and saw them I felt so sad when I saw that the looked so sad and we were going to ride horses but the. We changed our mind ,these two horses were nibbling at each other one of the staff said that they take naps and sometimes don’t but i feel like they are treated horrible All of the activities are so exspensive we were almost not gonna come here so there’s ur revew

Weight limit customer experience . Very insensitive towards the “ weight limit”. My husband was 8 lbs over, somehow could have been the vacation could have been our heavy bag he was carrying, the young woman who weighed us could care less, and just asked me if I still wanted to go? She did not give a damn, and reminded us that it states on their website! Hawaii is an expensive and tedious trip to plan, have the maturity to empathize with the tourists and offer a solution to overcome such a let down ? Maybe ask the customer to remove their bag and try again? Luckily customer service was able to swap our tour to the raptor tour. Though we tried to make the best of it, better people should be hired to handle this sort of encounter.

Horseback riding Everyone was very nice. We did the horseback for two hours. Our guide was Clancy he was very nice, patient, and very knowledgeable. Even before the tour started all the staff at the stables very nice and helpful. The scenery was so pretty and relaxing. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful place for a ride Gorgeous scenery for a horseback ride, great way to see that part of the island. There wasn’t as much movie stuff as I expended given the ranch’s reputation as Jurassic Valley but was a great activity on its own.Our guide Belinda was knowledgeable and friendly, very patient with the novice/nervous rider on our tour. One piece of advice: they have sturdy raincoats available for free at the stable. It was pouring rain when we arrived so we bought ponchos in the gift shop which turned out to be unnecessary totally for the ride.

Beasts of burden? Or massaged pets? Horse ride warning. Don’t book this tour if you aren’t certain to be 20+ lbs under the weight limit regardless of height or clothing. Mortification & embarrassment included. No refunds or exchanges. Not sure if their scale is celebrated regularly? Weight when leaving for the vacay was under the limit.

Terrible horseback riding experience Terrible terrible terrible customer service! Booked a horseback riding tour and went there at the time the tour agent told us to me at and they had left without us! We were a couple minutes early and the tour agent gave us the wrong time and they still did not do anything to help us. They also gave no refunds. So so disappointed and lost over $315. We purchased other tours with them and spent so much money and they were still so unaccommodating! The tour guides were so rude!! I had a terrible experience. I am so shocked by the service provided!

1 hour ride, vs 2 hour ride we were offered a 2 hour ride, but due to rain only able to do 1 hour. we were told to ask for 1/2 fare refund. please help.other than weather issues, our guide was friendly and informative. it was very pleasant.
